Avalon College
and
Avalon School of Astrology

The Avalon School of Astrology will open in September, 2003. Avalon College is a more extensive educational program that will begin in 2006 or 2007.

Avalon School of Astrology: This is an intensive, full-time 6-month training program in astrology. The goal of the Avalon School of Astrology is to train the student to become a professional in the area of astrology either as a consultant, writer, or to combine other professional training that the student may have with astrology. Upon completing the program, the graduate receives a certificate of graduation. The field of astrology currently does not have requirements for the professional practice of astrology. The International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR) is creating standards that many astrology schools will adhere to, and Avalon College will closely follow the developments in the development of these standards and make sure that graduates of Avalon College meet these requirements. The first classes will begin in September, 2003.  Click here for more information on the Avalon School of Astrology.

Avalon College: Avalon College is a, full-time 2-year academic program. In addition to meeting the objectives described above for the Avalon School of Astrology, Avalon College provides a broad academic curriculum that ensures that the student has excellent writing and communication skills, computer skills, and a good knowledge of history and astronomy. A more rigorous academic approach to scrutinizing the claims of astrology is undertaken, and a thorough grounding in scientific analysis, critical thinking, and research methodology are included in the curriculum. Additional areas of astrological theory that are not covered in the Avalon School of Astrology are also covered. It is our hope that credits for coursework in the Avalon School of Astrology can be transferred to Avalon College, and that Avalon College will become fully accredited, and credits for coursework at Avalon College can be transferred to other accredited colleges and universities, but these goals are not likely to be fully achieved until Avalon College has been in operation for about 3 years. Our goal is for Avalon College to begin classes in September, 2006 or September, 2007. Click here for more information on Avalon College
